Industrial-Contemporary, Mid-century Modern
West Palm Beach, FL
For a client settling into a new chapter along West Palm Beach’s Intracoastal, Project Flagstone was never about starting over. It was about finally making a two-bedroom condo feel like a highly personalized home. The goal was a face-lift with intention — one integrated story of color, finishes, and furniture, in a home where calm and cohesion was the goal.
The kitchen was once dark, cramped, “like camping out,” the client said. So it was completely reimagined with a lighter color palette, a lowered countertop, under-cabinet lighting, and the storage a real kitchen actually needs. Down the hall, the guest suite was reinvented as a working library, while the bath welcomed guests with a collection of both art and vibrant hues. Throughout the primary suite and living areas, a more neutral palette with warm wood tones and considered pops of color, built around furniture the client already loved — designed to remain, yet simply elevated.
Because this is a home for a longtime, serious collector — framed works after Picasso, Chagall, Rothko, and Matisse, alongside a Vietnamese gong and a marble Buddha gathered over years of travel — every wall and ledge was planned with art in mind, rather than decorated around it. Mid-century, industrial-leaning lines meet warm, livable-luxe finishes, letting the collection anchor the space instead of competing with it.
The result is a home that is highly curated but still cozy, sophisticated without asking permission, and quietly full of a life well-traveled.
